Hi folks and thanks to Pete for allowing me onto his excellent site. It’s only fair and proper that my first post should concern our favourite Internet Loon Jeff V. Merkey. Former NetWare coder, iguana ignorer, Torvalds annoyer and fantasist.

Jeff’s software project is called Wolf Mountain and you can find some of his software here : http://www.wolfmountaingroup.org/pub/nwfs/

A quick glance however, through some of the code reveals much NetWare-related source. How about this comment from line 8729 of nwfs1121-01.tar . . .

// Below is the method Netware uses to perform striping for multi-

// segmented volumes. the method employed by Netware is more

// efficient than raid or the block striping typical of NT and Unix,

// and is incredibly simple.

Jeff to distribute someone else’s copyrighted proprietary code . . . now surely that could never happen could it ??

Jeff’s on a crusade again.

My old friend Jeff Merkey is off on a crusade again, this time attempting to get the US Congress to allow users to take organisations like Wikipedia to court for alllowing people to anonymously libel US Citizens.

In order to restore freedom, the protections of the rights of US Citizens, and halt the Wikimedia Foundation and
Wikipedia from creating a subversive government on the internet which is used to attack and libel US citizens
anonymously, we call on the Congress of the United States to revoke Section 230 of the CDA and allow those
harmed by Wikipedia and similair sites to obtain redress from the US Courts. This site is also a meeting place
for pedophiles and sexual deviants.

I like the last sentence there, thrown in just for good measure. Almost an afterthought. During our little fracas, Jeff threatened me with some similar tactics through email. I never posted them, since the email conversation was pretty pathetic.

Still, good to see the Merkeylaw domain back in use again. We’ll see how this one pans out. Thanks to Matt for the link in an earlier post

You can’t keep a good(?) man down.

Just when I thought he’d changed his tune, our friend Jeff is back.

Fame at last!

I’ve made Wikipedia! Not that I’ve been mentioned by name or anything, but a link is a link.

Jeff Merkey’s entry on Wikipedia

A new day, a new category.

Jeff Versus the world.

Maybe this will take his mind off threatening me. Fingers crossed.
