take me to your leader

This is probably the best hand held picture I’ve taken so far. I used the Tamron 90mm macro lens with a very wide aperture, so the depth of field was tiny. I’m surprised I managed to get it without shaking the shot, but this was attempt no. 20 or so and it worked out nicely.  The previous ones were all over the place.

It’s a rhododendron flower, for the curious.

Grimsbury Castle, Hermitage, Berks. Northern sounding name for this part of the world, seems it was called after the god that was credited with building the massive fortifications, Woden, otherwise known as Grim.

There. You learned something.

Our boy’s toy, or some at least. Desperate weather around here for August, so I thought I’d stay in the house and find something colourful. These were just the job.

After entertaining the hundreds of tourists for a while, our hero retires, satisfied with his performance. The bikini bottom over pants look is striking

You see some strange things in London. This guy was playing cricket against the steps of St Pauls Cathedral in London (no one bowling, just him on his lonesome).

Earlier I’d seen two Buddhist monks walking along, followed by 6 show girls with the full costume on – feathers, micro shorts, half pound of make up. This on a rainy afternoon in Central London.
