Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveller, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

This site has a powerful and intense photo essay about a man who contracts HIV and subsequently dies.  Very, very hard to watch, but it rings a bell with me.  Excellent reporting and photography.

Metropole

The metropole hotel in Geneva.

I was doing a bit of work in Geneva, but sadly the hotel we had (not this one) had rooms not much bigger than a shoebox. Single beds (which I’m not used to any more) and very hot rooms so the window was open all night. I didn’t get much sleep under those circumstances, so at 6:30 I went for a wander with my camera. It was a good exercise in exposure since it was very misty and pretty dark. If you zoom the photo enough you can see that I shook it slightly, as per usual.
