The first of two sports days turned out as I expected. Very, very wet. Judy and our neighbour Tracy braved the elements without brollies ‘in solidarity with the kids’. I did enough of all that guff when I was a kid, playing Gaelic football on a windswept field in the middle of winter in North Dublin. No thank you.
