Very sad to see that Mo Mowlem has died, A very honest, trustworthy and warm person, she was also the only Northern Ireland Secetary to tell Ian Paisley to ‘fuck off’. She called Martin McGuiness ‘babe’ during talks and one famously went into the Maze prison to talk to loyalist prisoners, restarting the stalled peace talks.

Amazing woman.

I had a good read of Darl McBride’s interview over here, and it makes for interesting reading. Quote from the man himself regarding the legal issues that SCO find themselves faced with:

“A win gives you a substantial capital base to move things forward. With a loss you are still where you are. You’re like a startup on steroids.”

I don’t know what Darl has ever done regarding startups, but I’ve been through two. SCO with a loss in court would not be a startup, or even a startup on steroids. They’d be a hosed company, totally. A pariah that no one else would ever want to deal with. It looks like Darl is dreaming his way out of the current situation.

Can’t be done. When the court case is lost, SCO is history.

Seeing as I’m heading off to Spain soon, this probably wasn’t a good find.
