Nice timing this – a mini heatwave arrived this weekend, just in time to clash with our younger ones nasty dose of chickenpox. Now, Mark isn’t one to suffer in silence, and tends to open his lungs to their full 130db output at the drop of a hat, so when he’s hot and spotty the whole neighbourhood gets to hear about it.
After two days of his (and our) disturbed nights and no sleeping during the day, I trotted off to Argos to get one of these things. This afternoon, he slept the sleep of the innocent for two hours.
Best 45 quid I’ve spent in a long while.
Jude is still struggling with her tonsillitis, while Luke is getting over his own chicken pox, so I seem to be the only healthy one in the family at the moment.
